The active power filter is a new kind of the power electronic plant for restraining harmonic and compensating reactive power. This device separates each harmonic and reactive power by sampling load current, controlling and outputting the size of the current, frequency and phase to offset the corresponding current, which realizesthe dynamic tracing compensation for both harmonic and reactive power.
